| 60 mg, Capsule · Cat Any weight | Cat | Any weight | 10–30 mg per animal The vet chooses each dose in this range; nothing is filled in. Off-label: the label covers dogs only; dose from the substance's Core rule (Mellett Keith 2013, 15 cats). 10 mg per cat once daily is the usual start, 30 mg in some cats; this means a sixth to a half of this capsule. THE CAPSULE HAS TO BE OPENED and the powder divided or compounded (off-label; the SPC says do not open or divide), so the 10 mg capsule fits cats far better. The contents irritate skin and eyes, and pregnant people should not handle them. Adjust by ACTH stimulation; stop and recheck if the cat stops eating or is lethargic. |
