Felocell 4

lyophilisate and diluent, 1 ml dose for cats
Assessed clinical scopeCat · Full cat label from 12 weeks: live FHV-1, FCV and FPV core immunisation plus live Chlamydia felis · SC,IM
Care settingPreventive veterinary vaccination of a healthy cat with examination, cold-chain control and follow-up for post-vaccinal fever
vetman score 7.7/10 Good
Evidence confidence: Medium Georgia: Yes, veterinary · № 263-11 · Verified on 21 Oct 2026

A good live core cat vaccine with a chlamydial fraction that most cats do not need and that brings a delayed fever risk. Use it where Chlamydia is a confirmed problem; otherwise a trivalent core vaccine is the cleaner choice.

Regulatory and scientific credibility8.0/10

The exact product is registered in Georgia (263-11) with full strain composition, and the same Zoetis strains are documented in a current manufacturer label; the Felocell trade name has no major-regulator dossier.

Clinical efficacy8.0/10

Live FPV gives strong protection and FHV-1/FCV vaccination reduces disease though not infection; the chlamydial component is non-core and is advised only where infection is confirmed in a multi-cat household.

Safety and tolerability7.0/10

The label reports fever, anorexia and lethargy 7-21 days after vaccination linked to the chlamydial fraction, plus anaphylaxis risk; live FPV must not be given to pregnant queens.

Clinical practicality8.0/10

Two 1 ml doses 3-4 weeks apart with the last at 16 weeks or later are routine, but the possible delayed febrile reaction needs owner counselling.

Full-course cost-effectiveness-

No verified current Georgian price or patient-adjusted course cost was found; foreign prices were not substituted.

Important safety and use flags

  • Do not use in pregnant queens. Vaccinate only healthy cats.
  • Fever, anorexia and lethargy may appear 7-21 days after vaccination and can need veterinary support; warn the owner. Anaphylaxis can occur: keep epinephrine ready.
  • The chlamydial component is non-core: reserve it for multi-cat settings with confirmed Chlamydia felis infection.
  • FHV-1 and FCV vaccination reduces disease but does not prevent infection or carrier state.
  • When starting before 16 weeks, give the final dose no earlier than 16 weeks of age.
  • Store at 2-8 C, do not freeze and use the whole reconstituted dose immediately.
