Atinvicitinib 4.8 mg, divisible tablet for dogs
Assessed clinical scopeDog · Full labelled canine scope: treatment of pruritus associated with allergic dermatitis, including atopic dermatitis, and treatment of clinical manifestations of atopic dermatitis · By mouth
Care settingVeterinary-diagnosed daily antipruritic treatment after investigation and management of infections, parasites and underlying allergy
vetman score 7.7/10 Good
Evidence confidence: Medium Georgia: Yes, veterinary · № 279-11 · Verified on 20 Oct 2026

A promising, well-regulated once-daily JAK-inhibitor option for labelled canine allergic and atopic dermatitis, but its short market history and limited independent clinical literature justify a more cautious rating than mature alternatives.

Regulatory and scientific credibility9.0/10

All four exact divisible-tablet strengths are centrally authorised in the EU as a full new-active-substance application and registered in Georgia, with a transparent current SPC and public assessment dossier.

Clinical efficacy7.0/10

The regulatory dossier supports efficacy for allergic and atopic dermatitis pruritus, but market experience is short and the publicly accessible independent peer-reviewed clinical evidence remains limited compared with established alternatives.

Safety and tolerability6.5/10

Common gastrointestinal and constitutional adverse events are labelled, and immune suppression, progressive malignancy, complicating infection, young or small dogs and reproductive use require caution; long-term real-world safety is still immature.

Clinical practicality8.5/10

Once-daily dosing with or without food and tablets divisible into equal halves make weight-band dosing practical, although daily adherence and reassessment of infections and response remain necessary.

Full-course cost-effectiveness-

Price was not assessed and is excluded from the overall score.

Important safety and use flags

  • Investigate and treat bacterial, fungal and parasitic complications and identify/manage the underlying allergy; do not use symptom suppression as a substitute for diagnosis.
  • Use in dogs with immune suppression or progressive malignancy only after an individual veterinary benefit-risk assessment and monitor for infection or clinical deterioration.
  • Safety has not been established in dogs younger than 6 months or weighing less than 3 kg; use is not recommended during pregnancy, lactation or breeding.
  • Monitor for vomiting, diarrhoea, lethargy and anorexia and reassess benefit if adverse events persist or a clinically meaningful antipruritic response is absent.
  • Use the exact label weight band and only equal half-tablets; do not improvise quarter-tablet doses or bridge unlisted weight gaps.
