Care settingPreventive veterinary vaccination with examination, cold-chain control and emergency treatment available
vetman score 8.3/10 Very good
Evidence confidence: High Georgia: Yes, veterinary · № 118-11 · Verified on 21 Oct 2026

A strong, transparent core-plus-parainfluenza vaccine with useful long core duration. Its two-dose label minimum must still be fitted into a modern puppy programme that finishes the core series at 16 weeks or later when maternal antibody is relevant.

Regulatory and scientific credibility9.0/10

The exact one-dose presentation is registered in Georgia and has a current regulator-hosted EU product record and detailed SPC with transparent strains, potency, schedule and duration-of-immunity claims.

Clinical efficacy8.0/10

The live CDV, CAV and CPV core components have strong consensus support and the label documents three-year protection; CPiV is useful but annual and risk-based, while maternal antibody can still require a later puppy dose than the two-dose minimum label course.

Safety and tolerability8.0/10

The benefit-risk is favourable in healthy dogs; transient injection-site swelling is common and gastrointestinal or hypersensitivity reactions are rare, while live-strain shedding and reproductive restrictions require attention.

Clinical practicality8.0/10

A fixed 1 ml subcutaneous dose and three-year core revaccination are practical; reconstitution, immediate use, cold chain, annual CPiV decisions and age-appropriate completion of the puppy series add manageable work.

Full-course cost-effectiveness-

Important safety and use flags

  • Do not use in hypersensitivity to an excipient; vaccinate clinically healthy dogs only.
  • Maternal antibody can delay response. Fit the label course into a puppy series with the final core dose at 16 weeks or later when exposure and maternal-antibody risk warrant it.
  • Safety during pregnancy and lactation is not established and use is not recommended.
  • Vaccinated dogs can shed live CAV-2, CPiV and CPV-2b strains. Keep susceptible non-dog carnivores and cats away and dispose of faeces hygienically.
  • No safety or efficacy information is available for use with other veterinary medicines; decide pre- or post-treatment timing case by case and do not mix unless specifically authorised.
  • Transient injection-site swelling is common; rare gastrointestinal or hypersensitivity reactions require observation and immediate symptomatic treatment when indicated.
  • Store and transport at 2-8°C, do not freeze, protect from light and use the reconstituted dose immediately.
