vetman score 7.9/10 Good
Evidence confidence: High Georgia: Yes, veterinary · № 1-03/155 · Verified on 21 Oct 2026

A broad and well-documented combination that is operationally efficient, but its old bivalent leptospiral coverage and 12-week core endpoint mean the clinician may need a different or additional modern schedule for full risk-based protection.

Regulatory and scientific credibility9.0/10

The exact seven-antigen presentation is registered in Georgia and has long-standing valid French authorisation plus a current regulator-hosted product record and detailed SPC.

Clinical efficacy7.5/10

The core viral and rabies components have strong clinical value, but the primary schedule ends at 12 weeks rather than the guideline-preferred final core dose at 16 weeks or later, and the bivalent leptospiral component has narrower serogroup coverage than current four-serovar options.

Safety and tolerability7.5/10

The benefit-risk is favourable in healthy dogs, but injection-site reactions and lethargy are common, rare gastrointestinal or hypersensitivity reactions can occur, and immediate anaphylaxis treatment must be available.

Clinical practicality7.5/10

One 1 ml SC injection combines seven targets, but it depends on a preceding CHPPi/L dose, annual CHPPi/L follow-up, biennial rabies timing, cold chain and careful travel-document planning.

Full-course cost-effectiveness-

Important safety and use flags

  • Vaccinate healthy dogs only; do not use in hypersensitivity and do not use during pregnancy or lactation.
  • The primary programme requires Canigen CHPPi/L first, followed by CHPPi/LR 3-4 weeks later from 12 weeks; this does not remove the need to consider a final core dose at 16 weeks or later.
  • The leptospiral component covers Canicola and Icterohaemorrhagiae only; compare local serogroup risk with current four-serovar alternatives.
  • Common injection-site reactions and lethargy can occur; rare gastrointestinal signs or hypersensitivity, including anaphylaxis, require prompt treatment.
  • A vaccine dose does not guarantee the rabies antibody titre required for travel; follow destination rules and allow time for serology when required.
  • Do not mix with another veterinary medicine unless the exact combination is authorised; decide other same-day or sequential use case by case.
  • Maintain the cold chain, reconstitute aseptically and administer the complete 1 ml dose promptly.
