Reconstitute the lyophilisate with the liquid component and inject one 1 ml dose subcutaneously immediately. Give the first dose from 8 weeks and the second 3-4 weeks later. When maternal antibodies may interfere, a third dose from 15 weeks is recommended. Give one dose one year after the primary series; thereafter CDV/CAV/CPV revaccination may be up to every 3 years, while CPiV and Leptospira require annual boosters. Vaccinate healthy animals only. Do not use during pregnancy or lactation. Hypersensitivity, including anaphylaxis, requires immediate symptomatic treatment.

A well-documented, challenge-supported core-plus-CPiV/bivalent-leptospira vaccine with exact Georgian/EU authorisation and an aligned GB lineage. It is very good when its component-specific claims and schedule fit the patient, but it is not a universal maximum-coverage programme: modern puppy timing and local need for broader leptospiral serogroups remain decisive.

Regulatory and scientific credibility9.0/10

The exact product has three current Georgian registrations, a valid multi-country EU authorisation, current detailed product information and a public quality/safety/efficacy assessment. GB authorises the aligned Virbac lineage as Canixin; exact US APHIS licensure is absent.

Clinical efficacy7.5/10

Exact challenge and duration studies support the component-specific claims and three-year core protection after the annual booster. Value is reduced by narrower two-serogroup leptospiral coverage, annual CPiV/leptospiral need, small long-duration groups, an antibody-based CAV-2 endpoint and the need to align the puppy endpoint with maternal-antibody guidance.

Safety and tolerability8.0/10

The exact dossier, field use and overdose studies support a favourable benefit-risk in healthy dogs. Common local swelling/lethargy and rare systemic events are usually transient, but very rare anaphylaxis, no pregnancy/lactation data, unknown concomitant-medicine safety and live-strain shedding require controls.

Clinical practicality7.5/10

One fixed 1 ml SC dose is efficient and the core interval becomes up to three years after the annual booster. Two or sometimes three puppy visits, annual CPiV/Leptospira, product selection in broader-leptospira regions, strict cold chain, paired-vial reconstitution and immediate use create continuing clinic workload.

Important safety and use flags

  • Complete component-specific scope: the vaccine prevents some endpoints and only reduces others. Do not promise sterile immunity, prevention of every respiratory syndrome, every parvovirus infection or leptospirosis outside the included Canicola/Icterohaemorrhagiae serogroups.
  • Primary schedule: give one 1 ml SC dose from 8 weeks and repeat after 3-4 weeks. Maternal antibody may interfere; when relevant add a third dose from 15 weeks and fit the final core dose to current guidance of at least 16 weeks or later in higher-risk settings.
  • Onset is component-specific after the primary course: 3 weeks for CDV/CAV-2/CPV, 4 weeks for CAV-1/CPiV, 5 weeks for Canicola and 2 weeks for Icterohaemorrhagiae. Protection is not immediate; manage exposure before onset.
  • Duration/schedule: all components have one-year duration after the primary course. Give a full booster at one year; thereafter core CDV/CAV/CPV intervals may be up to 3 years, but CPiV and Leptospira require an appropriate annual booster.
  • Leptospira boundary: this is a bivalent Canicola/Icterohaemorrhagiae product. Compare local epidemiology and current four-serovar options; it does not establish protection against Australis, Grippotyphosa, Pomona or every circulating strain.
  • Vaccinate healthy dogs only. Defer and assess fever, substantial illness, incubating infection, marked malnutrition/parasitism or immunosuppression; vaccination neither treats existing disease nor replaces isolation, sanitation and outbreak control.
  • Common transient swelling/oedema up to 4 cm and lethargy can occur; rare pain/pruritus, fever, anorexia, vomiting or diarrhoea are labelled. Very rare anaphylaxis/allergic skin reactions require immediate treatment and adverse-event reporting.
  • Do not use during pregnancy or lactation. Concomitant-medicine safety/efficacy is not established: decide before/after timing case by case and never mix with another veterinary medicine. Live CAV-2/CPV strains may shed without demonstrated contact-animal pathogenicity.
  • Handling: reconstitute the complete lyophilisate with its full liquid fraction, shake gently and inject 1 ml SC immediately. Maintain 2-8 C transport/storage, protect from light, do not freeze, verify vial/lot/expiry and discard unused reconstituted material.
  • Record the exact product, batch, route, date and next component-specific due date. Accidental human self-injection needs prompt medical advice with the label. For travel/boarding, verify jurisdictional documentation and required vaccine components rather than assuming this product covers rabies or every mandate.
