Purevax RCP

lyophilisate and solvent for injection, 0.5 ml dose for cats
Assessed clinical scopeCat · Full cat label: active immunisation against feline herpesvirus, calicivirus and panleucopenia with the labelled two-dose primary course and revaccination at intervals up to three years · Subcutaneous
Care settingPreventive feline vaccination with examination, cold-chain control, injection-site planning and emergency treatment available
vetman score 8.6/10 Very good
Evidence confidence: High Georgia: Yes, veterinary · № 40-11 · Verified on 20 Oct 2026

A strong non-adjuvanted feline core option with exact regulatory support and useful long revaccination intervals. Respiratory protection reduces disease rather than eliminating infection, and the kitten course must still account for maternal antibody.

Regulatory and scientific credibility9.0/10

The exact 0.5 ml presentation is registered in Georgia and has a current detailed SPC with transparent strains, potency, schedule, onset, duration, adverse reactions and handling instructions.

Clinical efficacy8.5/10

FPV, FHV and FCV are strongly supported global core targets. Controlled challenge evidence supports meaningful and durable disease reduction, but respiratory components do not provide sterile immunity and maternal antibody can require a later final kitten dose than the label minimum.

Safety and tolerability8.4/10

The non-adjuvanted mixed live/inactivated formulation has a favourable profile in healthy cats, with mainly transient local or systemic reactions; hypersensitivity remains possible and use throughout pregnancy or lactation is contraindicated.

Clinical practicality8.4/10

The fixed 0.5 ml SC dose and post-first-booster intervals up to three years are practical; reconstitution, immediate use, cold chain and guideline-concordant kitten scheduling require routine discipline.

Full-course cost-effectiveness-

Important safety and use flags

  • Vaccinate healthy cats only; do not use in hypersensitivity to a component.
  • Do not use during pregnancy or lactation.
  • When high maternal antibody is expected, delay the primary course until 12 weeks and still complete a guideline-concordant kitten series.
  • FCV and FHV protection reduces clinical disease but does not reliably prevent all infection or viral shedding.
  • Hypersensitivity can require immediate treatment; monitor transient injection-site, febrile, appetite and activity changes.
  • Use other vaccines on the same day only where the exact combination is supported; never mix unless expressly authorised.
  • Reconstitute only with the supplied 0.5 ml solvent, use promptly, maintain the cold chain and do not freeze.
