lyophilisate and leptospira suspension for injection, 1 ml dose for dogs
vetman assessment
vetman’s 10-point assessment brings together a product’s regulatory credibility, clinical efficacy, safety and practicality. Cost-effectiveness is assessed only when reliable data are available. It is informational and does not replace a veterinarian’s clinical judgment for an individual patient.

PRO-VAC DHPPL

lyophilisate and leptospira suspension for injection, 1 ml dose for dogs
Assessed clinical scopeDog · Complete dog label: active immunisation against canine distemper, infectious hepatitis/CAV-2, parvovirus, parainfluenza and Leptospira Canicola/Icterohaemorrhagiae · IM,SC
Care settingPreventive veterinary vaccination after clinical assessment, with documented age/risk schedule, exact lot/leaflet, cold chain and emergency readiness
vetman score 5.9/10 Weak evidence support
Evidence confidence: Low Georgia: Yes, veterinary · № 189-11 · Verified on 23 Oct 2026

A traceable locally authorised multivalent vaccine whose antigen classes and schedule are plausible, but product-specific transparency is materially incomplete. Use requires the exact pack leaflet, a modern >=16-week puppy endpoint and local bivalent-Leptospira fit; missing safety and outcome data prevent treating it as equivalent to fully documented comparators.

Regulatory and scientific credibility6.5/10

Exact identity and schedule are supported by current Georgian and Indonesian registrations plus the official manufacturer page. Credibility is limited by no public internationally recognised regulator SPC, conflicting secondary composition wording, absent exact outcome dossier and no EU/GB/US authorisation.

Clinical efficacy5.5/10

CDV/CAV/CPV vaccine-class evidence is strong and CPiV/Leptospira components are plausible, but no exact potency, onset, duration, challenge or field-outcome programme is public. CPiV is non-core and the bivalent Canicola/Icterohaemorrhagiae product does not establish broader leptospiral protection.

Safety and tolerability5.0/10

The exact public manufacturer information omits adverse-event frequencies, contraindications, reproduction, overdose, interactions and post-market safety. Vaccine-class preparedness is possible, but absence of product-specific data prevents a high safety score or reassurance for ill, pregnant, immunosuppressed or previously reactive dogs.

Clinical practicality7.0/10

A fixed 1 ml dose, IM/SC flexibility and two-visit general schedule are workable, but the 12-14-week endpoint needs a later core dose, annual boosting adds visits, and paired-vial aseptic reconstitution plus cold chain remain necessary. Missing public in-use/mixing instructions require the physical leaflet.

Full-course cost-effectiveness-

Current Georgian full-course price was unavailable; price is excluded from the denominator.

Important safety and use flags

  • Evidence boundary: exact strains, routes and schedule are traceable, but no public exact potency, onset, duration, challenge, field-outcome or internationally recognised regulator SPC was located.
  • Primary schedule is 1 ml IM or SC at 8-9 and 12-14 weeks, adjusted for maternal antibody. Current core guidance requires a final CDV/CAV/CPV dose at >=16 weeks, sometimes later in high-risk settings; add or retime rather than assuming completion at 14 weeks.
  • Complete scope: CPiV is non-core and this product cannot prevent every infectious respiratory syndrome. Its Canicola/Icterohaemorrhagiae Leptospira fraction does not establish Australis, Grippotyphosa, Pomona or universal strain coverage.
  • The manufacturer calls the viral fraction live attenuated. A distributor page inconsistently calls several strains inactivated and expresses them as percentages; do not use those percentages as validated potency or silently resolve the conflict.
  • A complete exact-product safety label was not found. Adverse-event frequency, contraindications, pregnancy/lactation, overdose, interactions and post-market safety are insufficient; this uncertainty is a clinical limitation, not proof of toxicity.
  • Vaccinate only a clinically healthy dog after individual assessment. Defer and investigate fever, material illness, immunosuppression, pregnancy uncertainty or prior vaccine reaction; keep immediate hypersensitivity/anaphylaxis treatment available.
  • Do not promise safety with another vaccine or medicine and do not mix beyond the supplied paired components unless the physical exact leaflet explicitly authorises it. Document every concomitant product and timing.
  • Reconstitute the complete lyophilisate aseptically with its liquid Leptospira vial and give one full 1 ml dose by the selected IM or SC route. Do not divide by body weight or transfer an alternate product schedule.
  • Maintain 2-8 C refrigerated, dark storage and verify the exact lot, expiry, vial integrity and physical leaflet. Public exact freeze tolerance and in-use time were not located; use promptly after reconstitution and discard uncertain material.
  • Record exact product, batch, route, date, component-specific next due date and any reaction. Annual boosting is the manufacturer schedule; reassess local components and current evidence rather than assuming lifelong or broader protection.
