    Sources: VMD SPC · VMD
  • Warning (Cat)
The safety of the veterinary medicinal product has not been tested in kittens under 8 weeks of age. The product is for use in cats weighing at least 0.8 kg and from 8 weeks of age.
    Sources: VMD SPC · VMD
  • Warning (Cat)
Target animal safety has not been evaluated beyond 6 consecutive monthly treatments and accumulation of esafoxolaner and eprinomectin was observed up to the 5th monthly administration (see also sections 3.10 and 4.3). Repeated treatments beyond 6 consecutive months should be restricted to limited individual situations (see section 3.9 for treatment guidance), with a minimum treatment interval of 4 weeks, according to a benefit-risk evaluation by the responsible veterinarian.

  • Caution (Cat)
Although the veterinary medicinal product may be safely administered to cats infected with adult heartworms, no therapeutic effect against adult Dirofilaria immitis has been established. It is, therefore, recommended that all cats 6 months of age or older, living in endemic areas for heartworm, should be tested for existing adult heartworm infection before being treated with the product for heartworm disease prevention.

Broadline

fipronil 24.9 mg + (S)-methoprene 30.0 mg + eprinomectin 1.20 mg + praziquantel 24.9 mg, spot-on solution for cats <2.5 kg
Assessed clinical scopeCat · Full feline EU label when ectoparasites, nematodes and cestodes are all targeted: fleas/FAD, Ixodes ricinus, Notoedres cati, listed tapeworms, gastrointestinal, lung and vesical worms, and heartworm prevention · On the skin
Care settingVeterinary-prescribed feline multiparasite treatment after individual clinical, lifestyle and epidemiological assessment
vetman score 8.3/10 Very good
Evidence confidence: High Georgia: No · Verified on 15 Oct 2026

A highly effective, unusually broad feline endectoparasiticide when all three parasite groups genuinely need concurrent treatment. Its strong EU evidence does not change its absence from the Georgian register, and broad coverage should not replace narrower first-line therapy when mixed risk is absent.

Regulatory and scientific credibility8.2/10

The exact presentation has a valid central EU authorisation and a current UPD record, supported by detailed official product information and a mature EPAR. It is not registered in Georgia or the US; the separate GB national authorisation expired on 3 July 2026, while EU authorisation including Northern Ireland remains valid.

Clinical efficacy9.0/10

Controlled and multicentre field evidence supports high activity across fleas, major gastrointestinal helminths, lungworms, eyeworm and heartworm prevention. The label is deliberately restricted to simultaneous three-group need; tick protection is shorter than flea protection, and some parasite-specific follow-up or repeat dosing remains necessary.

Safety and tolerability7.5/10

Correct topical use is generally well tolerated and has a wide experimental safety margin, but common local coat or skin changes and salivation can occur. Accidental licking can cause gastrointestinal or transient neurological signs; very rare tremor or visual impairment, reproductive uncertainty and important species and health restrictions require counselling.

Clinical practicality8.4/10

One whole applicator gives broad single-dose coverage and is easier than several separate products, but it must reach the skin at an inaccessible neck site, the cat must not be bathed for two days, exact weight-band selection is required and cats above 7.5 kg need a veterinarian-selected applicator combination.

Full-course cost-effectiveness-

Price was not assessed and is excluded from the overall score.

Important safety and use flags

  • Do not use in sick or convalescent animals, rabbits, or with hypersensitivity to an ingredient. This feline product is not intended for dogs; prevent oral exposure, especially in Collies, Old English Sheepdogs and related breeds.
  • Do not use below 0.6 kg or under 7 weeks of age. Safety in pregnancy and lactation is not established; use only after veterinary benefit-risk assessment. Safety at intervals shorter than two weeks has not been tested.
  • Counsel for common transient coat clumping, local itching or hair loss and salivation. Accidental licking can cause vomiting, hypersalivation, ataxia, disorientation, apathy or pupil dilation; tremor and transient blindness or impaired vision are very rare. Reassess signs persisting beyond 24 hours.
  • Use only for confirmed mixed infestation or substantial concurrent risk involving ectoparasites, nematodes and cestodes. If three-group risk is absent, choose a narrower first-line parasiticide; avoid unnecessary frequent use and underdosing that can select resistance.
  • Flea treatment and environmental-stage control last at least one month, while Ixodes ricinus protection lasts up to three weeks. Tick attachment and pathogen transmission cannot be completely excluded; treat household animals and the environment when clinically indicated.
  • For heartworm prevention, test cats aged at least 6 months in endemic areas because adult Dirofilaria is not treated. Aelurostrongylus may need a second dose after one month; Joyeuxiella needs post-treatment follow-up, and tapeworm control requires management of fleas, rodents and other intermediate hosts.
  • Weigh exactly and empty the whole applicator onto visible skin at the midline of the neck where licking is prevented. Use 0.3 ml below 2.5 kg and 0.9 ml at 2.5-7.5 kg; above 7.5 kg use a veterinarian-selected applicator combination. Avoid bathing for two days, wear gloves, limit handling until dry and keep product or containers out of watercourses.

Assessed clinical scopeCat · Full labelled feline mixed-infestation scope, exclusively when ectoparasites, gastrointestinal nematodes and cestodes are all targeted together, including labelled flea, tick, mite, worm and cardiopulmonary indications · On the skin
Care settingVeterinary-selected integrated feline parasite treatment after diagnosis and exposure-risk assessment
vetman score 8.5/10 Very good
Evidence confidence: High Georgia: Yes, veterinary · № 77-11, 28-11 · Verified on 15 Oct 2026

A highly effective all-in-one feline option when ectoparasites, nematodes and cestodes must all be targeted; avoid routine use when the full fixed spectrum is unnecessary.

Regulatory and scientific credibility9.5/10

Both exact applicators are centrally authorised in the EU, covered by current official product information and actively registered in Georgia, with a broad indication-specific evidence package.

Clinical efficacy9.0/10

Controlled and field studies support high efficacy against the major labelled ecto- and endoparasites; the benefit depends on selecting a patient in whom all three required parasite groups genuinely need simultaneous treatment.

Safety and tolerability7.0/10

The labelled safety profile is generally favourable, including in pregnancy and lactation, but young or underweight kittens, accumulation with repeated monthly use, rare neurologic toxicity at marked overdose and adult-heartworm assessment require attention.

Clinical practicality8.5/10

One topical applicator treats a very broad mixed infestation and can be used as a single dose, but exact skin placement, prevention of licking, weight-band selection and veterinarian-directed rather than automatic monthly repetition are essential.

Full-course cost-effectiveness-

Price was not assessed and is excluded from the overall score.

Important safety and use flags

  • Use exclusively when ectoparasites, gastrointestinal nematodes and cestodes are all targeted at the same time; do not use the fixed triple combination for an incomplete target set.
  • Use only from 8 weeks of age and at least 0.8 kg; apply the exact whole applicator to skin where the cat cannot lick it and avoid shampooing for two days.
  • In heartworm-endemic areas, test cats aged 6 months or older for adult infection before prevention; no adulticidal heartworm effect is established.
  • Safety beyond six consecutive monthly treatments has not been evaluated; repeated treatment beyond this is limited to individual benefit-risk decisions with at least four-week intervals.
