Known Contraindications

  • Critical
A whole tablet is a large dose for a small animal: one tablet contains 200 mg pyridoxine, which is 50 mg/kg for a 4 kg cat. The label's overdose section describes pyridoxine neuropathy in people after months or years of chronic intake of 200 to 6000 mg a day (roughly 3 to 100 mg/kg a day). In practice an adult cat is given a quarter of a tablet (see the product note): 12.5 mg/kg pyridoxine for a 4 kg cat, in the lower third of that range. A short course and a long one are different questions. No source gives a veterinary dose for this combination.

  • Critical
Kidney failure: the human product label makes kidney or liver failure an absolute contraindication. This is a pharmacological restriction and does not depend on the species.
    Sources: Product label
  • Critical
Hepatic impairment is listed as an absolute contraindication on the human product label, alongside renal impairment.
    Sources: Product label
  • Warning
Pregnancy and lactation are contraindications on the human product label because of the high vitamin doses rather than the vitamins themselves. This restriction cannot be transferred directly to animals, but it applies to the doses contained in this tablet.

Not rateable

A numerical canine score cannot be assigned responsibly. AEM DV 22-01101 and Kazakhstan SPC ҚР-ДЗ-5№121984 verify the exact 3 ml human ampoule, four-vitamin composition and deep-IM human route. They provide no dog/cat dose, veterinary PK, target-animal safety margin or clinical outcome evidence. The human schedule and an isolated clinic-chart volume are not transferable, and the ampoule also contains 60 mg benzyl alcohol.

Exact human identity and deep-IM route are verified; a veterinary dose and benefit-risk are not. Do not transfer the human schedule or infer “slow injection.”

Important safety and use flags

  • Use only for a defined deficiency or other explicit clinical rationale. A nonspecific neurologic sign, anorexia, fatigue or routine supplementation is not a diagnosis.
  • No dog or cat dose is established for this exact ampoule. Do not scale the human schedule, copy an isolated clinic-chart volume or derive a mixture dose from one component.
  • The exact official route is deep IM. “Slowly” is not stated in the audited primary documents; do not add it or extrapolate IV, SC or oral use.
  • AEM and the Kazakhstan SPC describe a human medicine; this is not a veterinary authorisation. Exact dog/cat PK, efficacy and repeated-dose safety remain absent.
  • Do not infer that all B vitamins are required because one deficiency is plausible. Ingredient or comparator evidence cannot validate this fixed high-dose ratio or transfer another product’s dose.
  • Each 3 ml ampoule contains 250 mg pyridoxine and 60 mg benzyl alcohol with the other vitamins. Dog/cat local tolerance, repeated-dose safety and therapeutic margin are not established.
  • High experimental pyridoxine exposure caused sensory-neuron injury in dogs. Those studies do not define a safe lower Benevron regimen, but they rule out assuming that water solubility makes chronic high-dose exposure harmless.
  • Parenteral thiamine can cause serious hypersensitivity. Use aseptic technique, review excipients and ensure readiness to manage an acute reaction.
  • Review the full medication plan, especially levodopa without a peripheral decarboxylase inhibitor and other vitamin-containing products. Avoid unexamined cumulative exposure.
  • Set a diagnosis-specific response point and stop date. If response is absent, reassess diet, malabsorption, antagonists, primary disease and the actual deficient nutrient rather than continuing empirical B-complex treatment.

A numerical canine score cannot be assigned responsibly. AEM DV 25-00460 verifies the Azerbaijani gastro-resistant medicine, while the exact World Medicine Kazakhstan document describes the same name, composition and 20-tablet presentation as a food supplement. Neither source establishes a dog/cat regimen, veterinary PK, target-animal safety or outcomes; neither establishes a validated veterinary fraction.

Exact identity is documented, but the regulatory category differs by jurisdiction and no veterinary dose or validated tablet fraction is established.

Important safety and use flags

  • Use only for a defined deficiency or other explicit clinical rationale. A nonspecific neurologic sign, anorexia, fatigue or routine supplementation is not a diagnosis.
  • No dog or cat dose is established for this exact product. Do not restore a quarter-tablet practice or derive a fraction by arithmetic.
  • The exact presentation is gastro-resistant, but the audited primary documents do not establish scoring, equal-dose subdivision, whole-only administration or crushing instructions. Do not invent any of them.
  • AEM records a human medicine in Azerbaijan; the exact World Medicine Kazakhstan document calls the same name/composition/presentation a food supplement. Keep the jurisdiction-specific categories distinct.
  • Do not infer that all B vitamins are required because one deficiency is plausible. Ingredient or comparator evidence cannot validate this fixed high-dose ratio or transfer another product’s dose.
  • Each tablet contains 200 mg pyridoxine with four other vitamins. No product-specific dog/cat exposure threshold, safe duration or therapeutic margin is established.
  • High experimental pyridoxine exposure caused sensory-neuron injury in dogs. Those studies do not define a safe lower Benevron regimen, but they rule out assuming that water solubility makes chronic high-dose exposure harmless.
  • Review hypersensitivity to active ingredients and excipients. The exact product document lists sulfite and paraben excipients; target-animal tolerability is not established.

Urinovet Cat Dilution

capsule, VetExpert
Assessed clinical scopeCat · Additional urine acidification only for confirmed, monitored struvite-risk physiology when individually justified; not undifferentiated LUT signs, FIC, UTI, calcium-oxalate disease or obstruction · By mouth
Care settingVeterinarian-directed outpatient adjunct with diagnosis-specific selection, exact-form administration and objective laboratory reassessment.
vetman score 4.2/10 Weak evidence support
Evidence confidence: Low Georgia: Not a medicine · Verified on 15 Oct 2026

A convenient but potentially consequential acidifying blend with no exact outcome trial or titration target; restrict it to confirmed monitored struvite-risk cases and avoid duplicate acidification.

Regulatory and scientific credibility4.0/10

Exact current composition, pack, category and schedule are transparent, but no independent exact-product outcome or regulator-reviewed target-animal safety dossier was located.

Clinical efficacy3.5/10

Urine acidification can contribute to a confirmed struvite plan, but the exact fixed blend lacks a pH-targeted trial and is not indicated for common non-obstructive FIC; cranberry/glucosamine evidence is weak.

Safety and tolerability3.5/10

Fixed acidifier exposure without a published target or titration algorithm can cause excessive acidification, metabolic/mineral disturbance or inappropriate use in calcium-oxalate disease and CKD; exact safety data are absent.

Clinical practicality7.0/10

Two TWIST OFF capsules/day can be divided morning/evening, but safe use requires baseline diagnosis and repeated urine pH, sediment and stone assessment rather than unsupervised long-term use.

Full-course cost-effectiveness-

No verified current Georgian patient-adjusted course price or evidence-based exact-product duration is available, so cost is excluded.

Important safety and use flags

  • Complementary feed, not a medicine. Medicine-authorisation status is not applicable; category status is not evidence of efficacy or regulator-reviewed safety.
  • Lower-urinary-tract signs require diagnosis. This product does not treat urethral obstruction, replace analgesia, dissolve every stone or substitute for culture-directed UTI care.
  • Use only for confirmed monitored struvite-risk physiology. Acidification is generally not indicated for non-obstructive FIC and the exact product has no dissolution or recurrence trial.
  • Never combine blindly with another strongly acidifying product or diet. The exact label carries this warning.
  • Two capsules provide 500 mg DL-methionine and 150 mg vitamin C per cat/day without a published pH target, titration algorithm or maximum duration. Do not treat this as a universal feline dose.
  • Serial urine pH, sediment and imaging are required. Stop for excessive acidification, metabolic acidosis, calcium-oxalate risk, GI intolerance or worsening renal/mineral status.
  • No exact-product feline clinical outcome, recurrence, PK, dose-ranging or repeated-dose safety study was located.
  • Review every concurrent medicine, diet and supplement for duplicated ingredients, binding, sedation, GI effects and disease-specific contraindications; exact interaction magnitude is unknown.
  • Track the diagnosed cause, pain, urination pattern, water intake, urinalysis/culture and imaging as appropriate. Stop if no predefined objective benefit appears.
  • Exact safety in pregnancy, lactation, breeding animals, kittens/puppies and long-term severe renal, hepatic or multisystem disease is not established; use only after explicit individual benefit-risk review.
