A weak choice: safe but aimed at a usually mild infection that WSAVA does not recommend vaccinating against, with six-month immunity and no independent efficacy evidence. Spend vaccination visits on core, rabies and risk-based leptospirosis protection first.

Important safety and use flags

  • WSAVA 2024 lists canine enteric coronavirus vaccination as not recommended: the disease is usually mild and protection against it does not reduce parvovirus risk.
  • This is not a vaccine against canine respiratory coronavirus or any other coronavirus of people or animals.
  • Immunity lasts six months, so the label requires a booster every six months after the two-dose primary course.
  • Give antiparasitic treatment at least 10 days before vaccination and avoid training or strenuous exercise for a week after it.
  • Safety in pregnancy and lactation is not established; avoid vaccination in the last two weeks before whelping.
  • It may be mixed only with Biocan lyophilised vaccines named on the label; otherwise do not mix and decide timing with other medicines case by case.
  • Store at 2-8 C, do not freeze, warm to 15-25 C and shake before use.
