Superium Panacea

20/6/0.6/10 mg tablet N1 for cats 0.5-2 kg
Assessed clinical scopeCat · Full labelled feline oral scope: fleas and FAD, listed sarcoptiform and demodectic mites, gastrointestinal nematodes and cestodes, mixed infestations and heartworm-larval prevention · By mouth
Care settingVeterinary-selected home administration after parasite-risk assessment, with diagnostic follow-up when treating established infestation
vetman score 6.3/10 Situational / acceptable
Evidence confidence: Medium Georgia: Yes, veterinary · № 000953 · Verified on 21 Oct 2026

A convenient broad oral option with encouraging exact-product feline data, but not a strongly validated substitute for better-documented parasite-specific choices. Use after confirming the actual parasite spectrum and plan follow-up, especially for cestodes.

Regulatory and scientific credibility6.5/10

The exact feline strengths are currently registered in Georgia and have a valid prescription registration plus a detailed regulator-approved SPC in Moldova. The dossier is much less transparent than an EMA/FDA assessment and the broad label is supported mainly by small regional studies.

Clinical efficacy6.0/10

Small exact-product studies support flea and ear-mite activity and suggest benefit in mixed infestations, while established lufenuron/nitenpyram and moxidectin/praziquantel evidence supports component plausibility. The full mite, nematode, cestode and heartworm-prevention label has not been confirmed by robust controlled trials; one 54-cat report found residual Dipylidium segments requiring separate praziquantel.

Safety and tolerability5.5/10

Small studies report good short-term tolerance, but the approved SPC lists rare tremor, seizures, depression, vomiting and gastrointestinal dysfunction. Robust target-animal safety, reproductive and interaction datasets for the four-drug combination are not publicly available; pregnancy and lactation are restricted.

Clinical practicality7.5/10

A single whole weight-banded tablet can consolidate several parasite targets and is given monthly for continuous flea or heartworm prevention. It must not be split, complete swallowing must be observed, and voluntary tablet acceptance in cats is variable; established infestations may need repeat dosing and laboratory follow-up.

Full-course cost-effectiveness-

Price was not assessed and is excluded from the overall score.

Important safety and use flags

  • Do not use with known hypersensitivity, in emaciated animals or animals with infectious disease, or below 6 weeks of age or 0.5 kg body weight.
  • Do not administer concurrently with another antiparasitic. The regulator-approved feline SPC states that interaction data are unavailable; review all current medicines before use.
  • Rare neurological or gastrointestinal reactions can include tremor, seizures, depression, vomiting and digestive dysfunction. Stop and assess promptly if neurological signs, persistent vomiting or marked depression occurs.
  • Avoid during pregnancy and lactation unless a veterinarian determines that expected benefit outweighs risk; exact-combination reproductive safety is not established.
  • This tablet does not treat adult Dirofilaria and is not protection against ixodid pasture ticks. Test and stage heartworm risk as clinically appropriate and choose separate tick control when exposure exists.
  • Use the exact whole tablet for the current body-weight band; do not divide. Give with food or directly by mouth and observe complete swallowing. Reweigh growing or borderline patients before the next dose.
  • The exact-product feline studies are small and cover only part of the label. Recheck established mixed infection; one 54-cat report found persistent Dipylidium segments in isolated cases and used separate praziquantel.

Assessed clinical scopeDog · Full labelled canine oral scope: fleas and FAD, lice, listed sarcoptiform and demodectic mites, gastrointestinal nematodes and cestodes, mixed infestations and heartworm-larval prevention · By mouth
Care settingVeterinary-selected home administration after parasite-risk assessment, with diagnostic follow-up when treating established infestation
vetman score 5.6/10 Weak evidence support
Evidence confidence: Low Georgia: Yes, veterinary · № 000999 · Verified on 21 Oct 2026

Mechanistically plausible and locally registered, but the exact canine combination has too little independent evidence for its very broad label. Prefer better-documented parasite-specific products when available and use this tablet only with explicit diagnostic and follow-up reasoning.

Regulatory and scientific credibility5.5/10

The exact canine strengths are registered in Georgia and have a current manufacturer instruction, but no EMA/FDA-style public assessment or comparable regulator dossier was found. Exact-product independent evidence for dogs was not identified, so ingredient evidence cannot substitute for the combination dossier.

Clinical efficacy5.0/10

The four ingredients have credible activity against their respective targets, including field evidence for lufenuron plus nitenpyram and separate moxidectin/praziquantel data. However, no robust independent trial of this exact canine four-drug tablet was found, so the unusually broad mite, helminth and heartworm-prevention claims remain incompletely validated.

Safety and tolerability5.0/10

The instruction lists rare neurological and gastrointestinal reactions and restricts use in debilitated, infectious, very young or very small animals and with other antiparasitics. Public target-animal safety and interaction data for the exact four-drug canine combination are sparse, and moxidectin warrants particular caution in ABCB1-sensitive dogs.

Clinical practicality8.0/10

One whole monthly weight-banded tablet can consolidate several parasite targets and avoids topical residue. Five canine weight bands support dose selection, but the tablet must not be split, complete swallowing must be confirmed and treatment schedules differ by parasite, with reassessment or repeat dosing for mites and severe helminth infection.

Full-course cost-effectiveness-

Price was not assessed and is excluded from the overall score.

Important safety and use flags

  • Use the exact whole tablet for the current body-weight band; do not divide. Give with food or directly by mouth and observe complete swallowing. Reweigh growing or borderline patients before the next dose.
  • In Collies and other ABCB1-sensitive dogs, use moxidectin-containing treatment only at the exact labelled dose under veterinary supervision; avoid interacting P-glycoprotein substrates unless the individual risk is resolved.

Superium Panacea

80/24/2.4/40 mg tablet N1 for cats 8-16 kg
Assessed clinical scopeCat · Full labelled feline oral scope: fleas and FAD, listed sarcoptiform and demodectic mites, gastrointestinal nematodes and cestodes, mixed infestations and heartworm-larval prevention · By mouth
Care settingVeterinary-selected home administration after parasite-risk assessment, with diagnostic follow-up when treating established infestation
vetman score 6.3/10 Situational / acceptable
Evidence confidence: Medium Georgia: Yes, veterinary · № 000948 · Verified on 21 Oct 2026

Assessed clinical scopeDog · Full labelled canine oral scope: fleas and FAD, lice, listed sarcoptiform and demodectic mites, gastrointestinal nematodes and cestodes, mixed infestations and heartworm-larval prevention · By mouth

vetman score 5.6/10 Weak evidence support
Evidence confidence: Low Georgia: Yes, veterinary · № 001000 · Verified on 21 Oct 2026
